Hisense Japan achieved a great brand exposure with F1 Red Bull Racing
The Formula 1 Japan Grand Prix had been held in Suzuka, Mie-ken from 7th October to 11th October with more than 150,000 visitors. As a team supplier to Red Bull Racing, Hisense Japan set up a booth showcasing Hisense latest 4K TVs. The great popularity of Red Bull Racing attracted lots of fans, as a result, it was a great chance for Hisense Japan to boost brand awareness in local market.
Hisense booth was located by the side of the main stage which made Hisense booth conspicuous and attracted many spectators. Hisense Japan set up a television wall on which 14 4K TVs were installed to show live matches and player interviews. Hisense branding videos were also repeatedly played to increase the recognition of Hisense for spectators on site.
Hisense designed a questionnaire to enhance customer’s impression on Hisense with questions like how Hisense logo is spelled in English and Japanese. A total of 1,443 visitors attended the activity and each person who filled in the questionnaire got a small gift. Besides, Hisense organized an interactive campaign that people could take a 360-degree picture for free with the backdrop of 3D Red Bull Racing. A bar code would be generated after 10 seconds, then customers could get it by scanning the bar code with their own smart phones. The picture could be rotated in 360 degree as customer’s will. A majority of customers actively forwarded the message in their SNS which was a great exposure for Hisense brand.
